What does “listener supported” mean?
WJKN-fm, The Arbor fm is a non-commercial radio station, as designated by the Federal Communications Commission. As a part of Spring Arbor University, we fall under the 501©3 non-profit designation. Gifts received by The Arbor fm cover operational expenses involved in the ministry of our student radio station to bring Christian music and programming to south-central Michigan. It also supports student broadcaster scholarships as they continue their education by incorporating radio broadcasting into their activities.
